More from Meike

Here are two pieces of design that are both original and beautiful, by German Designer Meike Harde.

Hybrid Cabinet, design 2014

This is a storage and display cabinet made out of a fine woven metal mesh. It is produced in two versions, brass or dark steel. As the pictures show these are ideal to display fine glasses or china.

I can imagine them in an elegant minimalistic dining area, with pastel colour walls (mint?) a white table and dark wooden chairs!

Hybrid cabinet was recently exhibited at Dutch Design Week, Talents at Klokgebouw.

Zieharsofika, design 2012

I am going to be honest with you here. I don't know what the name of this seat means! (I'll have to find out and let you know!)
This design is made with foam, cotton, and ash wood. But it's the technical side that impresses me!
Don't you think it's an unusual and tasteful piece! Not to mention clever and original!
I especially like the choice of colours. Makes me think of ice-cream sorbets! It would add a flash of summer in any home.

Zieharsofika was recently part of Li Edelkoorts "Gathering" exhibition at Designmuseum Holon, Tel Aviv.
